Author Bio

Michelle is an award-winning historical fiction writer living in Massachusetts.

Although she has loved writing all her life, her passion for historical fiction was kindled during her sophomore year at Salve Regina University, where she lived in Conley Hall (formerly Faxon Lodge)—one of Newport, Rhode Island’s grand residences. “Cliff House,” the summer house of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, once stood on the site. Sharing the former master bedroom of the estate with two roommates, she found herself imagining the dinner parties, whispered conversations, and quiet moments that once filled its halls.

“There is something mystical about conjuring the past and giving a voice to characters whose lives were different from ours, yet, in many ways, were very much the same,” Michelle said during a recent interview.

When not crafting stories, Michelle enjoys spending time at home with her husband, traveling to new destinations, appreciating nature and corresponding with her readers.
